Kashmir is a region in the far north of the Indian subcontinent. The rights to the possession of this territory were disputed by India and Persia, Pakistan and China.
designed by Lev Liberman.

As you know, Kashmir is an area in the far north of the Indian subcontinent. From the beginning of the decline of the Mughal empire to this day, the rights to possess this territory have been disputed by India and Persia, Pakistan and China. Therefore, the traditions of Indian, Iranian and Central Asian cultures are closely intertwined in the art of Kashmir. One of the most striking manifestations of such a cultural symbiosis in painting is the Kashmir miniature. The artist Lev Lieberman relied on the traditions of this particular school, creating images for Kashmir playing cards. Suits symbolize various aspects of human nature: peaks - militancy, worms - love and beauty, tambourines - wealth and luxury, and clubs - wisdom. Therefore, for example, the peak jack squeezes a bow and a curved Arabian saber in his hands, and the jack of clubs writes something in a book, the queen of diamonds sorted out with jewels, while the hearts of hearts simply admire the flower. Decorative images that continue the given theme are also present on the chamfers. And of course, no one else could turn out to be a joker, except for the popular hero of many jokes of Central Asia, the cunning and joker, Khoja Nasreddin in his faithful ass. Card shirts decorated with arabesques. The Kashmir deck can be an inexpensive and pleasant gift for people interested in the art of Central Asia and the Middle East, as well as a worthy addition to any collection of playing cards.
