Selection of decks of cards
After Russian troops and allies captured Paris in 1814 and forced Napoleon to abdicate, great changes occurred on the map of Europe. Poland, under the name the Kingdom of Poland, became part of Russia in 1815. Russia had a monopoly on the production of playing cards, which made it all the more surprising to discover this deck published in Warsaw in the 19th century published by Gotti & Baumann.
It is now difficult to establish the exact release date of the deck. The cards were drawn by the artist J. Piwarski (1794-1859).
When in St. Petersburg they began to print a deck known as a circus deck.

Then in it you can see a copy of the king of leaves and the same drawing of the king of hearts as in the drawing of the king of acorns in the Warsaw deck.
