Selection of decks of cards
In the mid-20th century, playing cards were one of the products that were under government control; card production was either a government monopoly or the manufacturer was subject to an excise tax. A totalitarian state, such as Hitler's Germany, treated playing cards poorly. For example, playing cards were banned in the German army. But at the same time, as a propaganda weapon, in Germany such a deck was released by the publisher Rheinberger. Those who are interested can read about the characters of the cards on the Internet, fortunately they are all signed, and those who are not signed are immediately recognized - the king of spades is Winston Churchill, and the joker is Joseph Stalin.
Drawings for the deck were made by artist Manfred Schmidt
